OUR TAKE -  The Incredible Power of Re-Credentialed Trust

Webinar: How Sprint Resolves FCR Once and for All
Lasting Impressions:
The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without work. - Emile Zola
The point of the last column is that basic integrity which is often a cornerstone of trust shouldn't be a big deal. In the world of all things customer centric, these values can nurture loyalty, share of wallet, and ultimately profitable revenue. It should be simple. Yet in the "real world," it doesn't seem so simple. For many, it doesn't feel normal.

One reader responded to the story of professional golfer Brian Davis' act of playing by the rules by quipping, "My take is that Brian Davis would not survive in the software business." Could you insert your industry in place of 'software' in the previous statement? The slippery slope of sliding business practices seems to often to start with a rationalization that it is OK to chip away at the basics of trust because "everyone is doing it." It becomes the industry norm.

And that is why there is incredible power in trust re-credentialed. What a great way to differentiate your products/services as well as your brand.

That's my take. Do you agree? What's your take?

Article:    Everything Old Is New Again
CRM has always been lumped into the category of technology, so as the tech market goes, so goes CRM—despite the fact that all the technology in the world won’t get businesses closer to the people they serve if it’s used poorly. But technology is a tool, and tools are necessary—a CRM vendor can’t do very well selling smiles and handshakes. To succeed, companies in our industry have to show they’re constantly at the forefront of innovation. Innovation, though, is a tricky concept. Understanding it requires that we break it down into its two components—inno and vation.

Article:    Avoiding Three Common Potholes on the Road to CRM Success
You've heard it all before. Gartner industry analysts report that upwards of 50 percent of customer relationship management (CRM) projects fail. Other analysts have less conservative numbers and anecdotally, for every success story with CRM we typically hear about two failures. So why is it that so many of us are still committed to CRM? Maybe it's because of those success stories. Where CRM user adoption goes awry is usually due to a lack of long-range planning, cultural barriers and/or information overload. This doesn't necessarily mean that those aspects weren't considered or addressed throughout the planning and execution stages. Rather, it may have been the way the processes within them were executed that led to the CRM not living up to its expectations.
