Today, I want to connect the thoughts of the columns the first week of the year (the most worrying trend, an empire of spin, and recapturing your mission) with the thoughts from second week of the year (transaction myopia and who is your hero).
One reader wrote, "To get back on mission, change the leadership. All of it must be replaced, indicted, voted out of office, fired, or retired before change is possible. There are many flowers ready to bloom once they leave the building."
I can only imagine the conditions that created such a desire for wholesale change. And this was written in advance of the special elections in Massachusetts this week. Such a strong message might overshadow the last part of the message - flowers that are ready to bloom.
What changes can you make to encourage more "flowers to bloom?" What's your take?
