3/31/08 - Did You Pay Attention? On Friday, I shared with you a one minute awareness test (http://www.dothetest.co.uk/). I enjoyed the many comments from readers about the test. If you didn't take the test last week, I encourage you to try it before reading on. Most people were able to come up with the right answer to first the question. However, very few were able to say "yes" to the second question. There is a very good point in this simple test. Sometimes we only see what we are looking for. We miss the bigger picture because external influences narrow our vision or divert our attention. Take this test to your next staff meeting to challenge people to look for what they are no seeing as it relates to the customer experience. Set you mind free.
