Nissan Succeeds with Blue Pumpkin
Blue Pumpkin announced results from its implementation with Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC) that include a projected return-on-investment of 400% in the first year alone. In the first five months of using Blue Pumpkin's solution in early 2003, NMAC realized the following results and more: average speed of answer was 66% faster to under 50 seconds; and agent schedule adherence improved from approx. 70% to an outstanding 95%.   (about Blue Pumpkin)

Singapore Power Selects ViryaNet Service Hub
ViryaNet announced that SP Services Ltd has purchased ViryaNet Service Hub for Utilities from a ViryaNet partner to automate its field workforce activities. SP Services Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Singapore Power.

KANA to Acquire Hipbone
Hipbone was founded in 1998 and has is a provider of co-browsing, live chat and file sharing technologies for customer support and sales executives within banks, brokerage services and other financial institutions. The addition of Hipbone's web-collaboration solutions to KANA's knowledge-powered iCARE suite will help the company reach to all channels of customer interactions. Hipbone's customers include leading financial services companies such as Wells Fargo Bank and Diversified Investment Advisors, as well as leading high-tech manufacturers such as Veritas and NCR Corporation. The agreement is expected to close in the first quarter of 2004.

EDS Named To Leadership Quadrant
EDS announced that IT services analyst firm IDC ranked the company as one of six leading global services providers in the CRM Services market for 2003. IDC's report is based on in-depth research of the worldwide services market focused on companies that are solid examples of leadership and innovation. Overall ranking considered market share, thought leadership, innovation and growth potential.

LivePerson Acquires Certain Island Data Assets
Liveperson announced it has acquired certain assets of privately-held Island Data for about $3.0 mln, of which $0.3 mln will be paid in cash. Island Data's customer base includes a cross-section of the Global 2000 such as Adobe, Canon U.S.A., Cox, and Real Networks, and is expected to increase Liveperson's current monthly revenue by 8%.

Fiserv Securities Selects Web Ally CRM
Fiserv has selected Web Ally as its front office, enterprise customer relationship management (eCRM) platform for its account managers, sales assistants, group managers and administrative staff located within their nationwide branch offices and Philadelphia central office. This installation is part of the Fiserv rollout of a current intranet platform for its national account management team. Web Ally CRM is being used in conjunction with their other intranet desktop applications for to provide service to their correspondent clearing clients.

Shares of TeleTech Rise on Deal Speculation
Shares of TeleTech Holdings Inc. surged amid speculation the company either has signed or is close to signing a large contract. On Dec. 20, The Wall Street Journal reported that TeleTech and International Business Machines Corp. inked a $1.2 billion, eight-year deal with wireless provider Nextel Inc. TeleTech hasn't confirmed the deal.

GWI Becomes Microsoft Partner
GWI Software announced that they received Microsoft's Gold Partner Certification for Software Products. The Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program brings market recognition to companies providing products built on the Microsoft(r) platform. To date, GWI Software is the only provider in its market to receive such certification.

ClientLogic Acquires Service Zone
ClientLogic announced it has acquired privately-held Service Zone Holdings. Service Zone's core business is providing companies with outsourced call center services including technical support, customer service, and sales support. With this acquisition, ClientLogic gains additional contact centers, operational management, workforce and client base. Under the terms of the agreement, ClientLogic has acquired all outstanding shares of Service Zone Holding, Inc.
