Andersen and Datek With Ask Jeeves
Ask Jeeves announced renewed contracts with customers Arthur Andersen and
Datek Online. Since launching Ask Jeeves Business Solutions in December of
1998, the company has been providing corporations with natural language
question and answering and intelligence tools that provide information
about customers' needs and preferences.
Mitsubishi
Chooses Calico
Calico announced that Mitsubishi has chosen Calico Market Maker to power
its Web-based international power exchange. Mitsubishi will use Calico
Market Maker to build its B2B Marketplace for the equipment and
infrastructure needs of power companies throughout southern Asia. The
exchange is expected to launch for maintenance and repair operations.
IBM
And Support.com Form Alliance
Support.com announced IBM will provide eSupport infrastructure software
that allows IBM to transition support for customers and employees to the
Net. IBM intends to use Support.com's software infrastructure as part of
its foundation to build eSupport solutions that can solve user problems or
questions and route and escalate users to the appropriate support expert
over the Internet.
PricewaterhouseCoopers
and BroadVision Expand Relationship
PricewaterhouseCoopers and BroadVision announced that they have entered
into an expanded alliance. The alliance will combine the reach, e-business
acumen, consulting and systems integration experience of
PricewaterhouseCoopers with BroadVision's suite of e-business software
products and services.
Chordiant
Taps Connected Brands
ConnectedBrands announced it has been named advertising agency of record
by Chordiant. ConnectedBrands will create a new brand identity, design
direct mail collateral, author white papers and case studies, and develop
online content and Web banners.
Ovum
Analyst News Alert
Ovum predicts that by January 2006, 166 million Internet users worldwide
will be regular users of PC-to-phone IP telephony. This represents almost
a quarter 23% of Internet users growing from only 5% today. They say that
wide availability of services, improvements to quality and ease of use
will be the major factors driving the growth.

Advisory Board Adds Executive
The Software Support Professionals Association (SSPA) announced the
appointment of Jerry Berger of DecisionOne to the SSPA Advisory Board.
