SpeechWorks announced the availability of its Speechify 1.0 Text-to-Speech engine, which turns text-based content into a spoken audio format. Speechify aims to enhance the caller experience of automated phone services, and allows companies to reduce the costs and development time associated with hiring voice talent to record prompts or spoken responses.



VuePoint Selects NetManage
NetManage announced that VuePoint has integrated NetManage's SupportNow Software Developers Kit into its VuePoint Learning System. As an addition to VuePoint's collaboration and support technology, NetManage's SupportNow enables trainers and instructors to work on the same application or view the same desktop simultaneously.

BackWeb Adds SMS
BackWeb advanced its Universal Push initiative by adding Short Message Service wireless delivery to the BackWeb Push Application Server. The release of the Push Application Server provides e-businesses with a communications infrastructure to deliver content to users via digital cellular phones and pagers, in addition to desktop and laptop computers and email.



Quadstone And PrimeResponse Partner
Quadstone and Prime Response announced a partnership that will offer business to consumer marketers a route through the customer contact cycle. The agreement empowers analytical marketers to create customer behavior models in the Quadstone System and then deploy them through Prime@Vantage.

Finali Launches Customer Care Solution
Finali introduces a standard in eCRM that combines automated help with online live assistance. This combined customer care package aims to enable eBusinesses to improve service and sales, enhance Web customers' online experiences, and, ultimately, reduce client support costs. With the new solution, Finali online customers, and their data, will be transferred to Finali's live experts, eSpecialists, who are trained and equipped with eCRM tools.

ServiceSoft Survey Results
Servicesoft announced the findings of a survey, which identifies issues consumers face with their online customer service experience. Survey participants were asked to order a given product online and use any customer interaction capabilities available on each site. Top findings include: 94% of self-service components were limited to static FAQs, and of the sites providing email, 56% took more than two business days to respond to questions.

Metrix announced that Nucletron has selected the Metrix ProductService CRM application to manage its service organization. Nucletron expects the Metrix application suite to provide information and support, and when combined with Metrix ERP systems, will provide improved availability of the products in order to fulfill customer demands.
