To Acquire Brightware
FirePond announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Brightware.
Under the terms of the agreement, FirePond will purchase Brightware for
$9.0 million in cash and 3.0 million shares of its common stock. The
acquisition will be accounted for as a purchase and is subject to
customary closing conditions.

Announces Contact Center Solution
Telcordia together with CosmoCom announced the Next Generation Contact
Center Solution, an IP-based, customer service center solution that
provides interactions with customers from any device via any network. It
provides customer support services, handling customer interactions via the
Web, e-mail and telephone through wireline and wireless, PSTN, IP and
converged networks.

Four customer service experts have joined forces to open The Diagonal
Group. The new consulting company uses business and technological
solutions to help companies provide better customer service and support.
Founding partners in The Diagonal Group are Joel Ramseyer, Jennifer
Streitwieser, John Lessig and Chris Broome.

Stearns Implementing Courion
Courion announced that Bear Stearns has selected and is implementing
Courion PasswordCourier and ProfileBuilder to empower its 10,000
employees. Courion gives Bear Stearns the ability to securely manage
authentication credentials and reset, change, and synchronize passwords on
systems and applications via Web browser or desktop access.
Avnet
Selects SalesLogix
Interact Commerce announced that Avnet has purchased SalesLogix for use in
their Hall-Mark Division, in the Computer Marketing Group. In addition to
using SalesLogix Sales, Avnet provides support for direct and
sub-contracted customers with SalesLogix Support so problem resolution
information is available to anyone who interacts with the customers
outside of the support or service departments.
Cisco
Introduces Contact Center Services Designation
Cisco announced a Cisco Powered Network Contact Center Services
designation for companies delivering hosted services based on the Cisco
customer contact software platform. The designation announced provides
outsourced or managed customer contact services for enterprise customers.

Deploys Delano
Delano announced that Webstakes.com has deployed Delano's e-marketing
solution and campaign server to deliver targeted e-marketing messages to
its database of profiles. Webstakes.com helps advertisers and marketers
promote their products and services to consumers through promotion
sponsorship opportunities that provide traffic, content and direct
marketing technology.
Misys
Uses NativeMinds
NativeMinds announced that Misys has launched a vRep to introduce its new
online financial services brand, theformula. vReps are automated, online
customer service agents that answer customer questions using natural
language text, emulating the best in human customer service interaction.
Created in conjunction with Axcess.com, the vRep will answer questions
about theformula's financial services offerings and take customer
registrations in preparation for the site's official Spring 2001 launch.
ePartners
Launches Seminars
ePartners launched a series of CRM solution comparison seminars. The
ePartners CRM Shootouts are free half-day application comparison seminars
that provide senior level executives with an objective assessment of CRM
solutions on the market. First quarter events begin Feb. 6, take place in
more than 17 cities and include demonstrations of Great Plains/Siebel,
Saleslogix, Pivotal and Onyx CRM solutions.
