Spanlink Communications Names Chief Financial Officer 

Minneapolis, Minn. – Jan. 15, 2007 – Spanlink Communications, a leading provider of unified communications and customer interaction solutions leveraging Cisco technology, announced today that it has appointed Scott Christian to chief financial officer, effective immediately. He reports to Brett Shockley, CEO and president of Spanlink.

Christian comes to Spanlink after most recently serving as vice president and general manager for Black Box’s Voice Services North Business Unit. During his tenure at Black Box, Christian was instrumental in integrating several Black Box businesses into the Voice Services North Business Unit. By doing so, Christian improved Black Box's customer relationships, expanded market coverage, gained share and increased profitability. In January 2005 Black Box acquired Norstan where Christian served as president and CEO. Additionally, Christian's positions at Norstan included executive vice president and chief financial officer.

“With more than 30 years of financial and operations management expertise, coupled with a telecommunications specific background, Christian will be a great asset to our business as we look to expand and grow,” said Shockley.

Prior to Norstan, Christian was the senior vice president of finance at Ceridian, a business services company. Christian has also held executive leadership positions at Automatic Data Processing (ADP) and Caterpillar Equipment. He earned a master's of business administration from Pepperdine University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton.
