Oco Offers Open Architecture to Expand the Reach of Business Intelligence Solutions

LAS VEGAS - Feb. 19, 2008 - Oco, Inc., a leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider of business intelligence (BI) and data integration solutions, announced today an open architecture for its popular solutions.

The announcement was made here at the TDWI 2008 World Conference, which is taking place Feb 19-20, 2008. The open architecture provides industry standard, secured ODBC and Web-Service APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to the enriched business-targeted content of Oco's data warehouse. This enables IT departments and business users to leverage Oco's integration capabilities to deliver business value using a broad array of tools and other business applications. Oco will be demonstrating this capability in its booth at TDWI (# 609).

Oco provides extraction and integration of information from disparate source systems, organizes and enhances the information, and delivers it to a web browser for reporting. The solution is targeted to address specific business problems and has enabled companies such as Dunkin' Brands, Casual Male, and Welch's to achieve fast and measurable business improvements. Using the new open architecture, this same high-value information is also available to enable advanced data analysis. In addition, sophisticated IT departments can create closed-loop operational BI systems that create business actions based on data insights.

"Our business intelligence solutions address specific business problems," said Mike Beckerle, Oco's CTO. "The open architecture then adds even more value because it allows the Oco solution data to be used in synergy with a wide variety of data warehousing and BI strategies."

"BI projects are large and critical to things like tightening your value chain so you borrow less money from your bank," said David P. O'Connell, senior analyst, Nucleus Research. "By creating a more open system, Oco is making it easier to integrate BI with other applications in terms of both functionality and data interoperability. The more open Oco is, the more likely you are to do a BI project, and the easier it is to deliver it on time, on budget, and on scope."

"We're helping companies leverage their BI investments by enabling third-party tools to take advantage of our solution -- which can be up and running in six to ten weeks at a very affordable cost," said William Copacino, Oco president and CEO. "This integration capability further enables us to broaden our value to the marketplace."
