CRM Headline News

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — March 23, 2004 —Courion® Corporation (Company Profile, Past Stories, Case Studies), a leading provider of self-service identity management solutions, today announced a reseller agreement with Vocent Solutions, Inc., the leading provider of packaged voice authentication solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Courion will resell Vocent's voice authentication server with its Identity Management Suite™. The biometric access option is available immediately with Courion Identity Management Suite through Courion and its authorized channel partners including HP, Unisys and Getronics.

Courion’s more than 200 enterprise customers prove that multiple, intuitive access options are extremely important to the success of self-service identity management implementations. For example, giving users the ability to change passwords by using their voice dramatically increases user adoption rates, greatly impacting the success of the implementation and further reducing help desk costs. The Vocent interface to Courion’s PasswordCourier® provides users with the option of resetting their password through an automated voice recognition system. Accessible from any telephone, the Vocent application acts as an easy to use interface to PasswordCourier's enterprise password management capabilities. Once the Vocent application authenticates the identity of the user, it works with PasswordCourier to manage the password reset function. Security is increased through the combined use of content verification and voiceprint authentication to verify the user's claimed identity and PasswordCourier's consistent audit trails.

“Time and again, our work with enterprise customers proves that multiple, convenient access options improve user adoption rates,” said Kurt Johnson, vice president of business development, Courion. “The ubiquity of the telephone provides another convenient access option for users to manage their own digital identities in a secure manner. Reselling Vocent’s voice authentication solution gives us another tool to help our customers meet their self-service goals in a secure environment.”
